CALUM MACDONALD is the crosswords editor of The Herald in Glasgow and edited the newspaper’s first crosswords book, published in July 2004 to considerable acclaim. His cryptic puzzles appeared on the back page every Saturday for a decade until October 2004. He now compiles The Herald’s first general knowledge puzzle. By day, he is the paper’s deputy news editor. DUNCAN BLACK compiles the main crossword puzzle in the Sunday Herald, published in Glasgow. He is a former newspaper journalist who now subtitles TV programmes for the BBC and writes comedy material for radio. His addiction to crosswords began many years ago in his student days when he decided to try completing a puzzle - anything rather than revise! CHRISTINE JARDINE is the main link between our customers and the personalised puzzle they want, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of any1across. She is a former editor of the Scottish Press Association, and has worked extensively in television and radio news. For five years, she taught postgraduate students at the Scottish Centre for Journalism Studies at Strathclyde University. |
